I accept the theological explanation of the fall, with all the difficulties behind it that I don't understand and that might be much more complex than the churches presume. Consequently, we can't escape evil but we can go through evil holding God's hand, which makes things much easier. (My father-in-law passed away this September, he had cancer. I saw that it was hopeless. His wife and daughter prayed for a miracle. I prayed only for God to be with him and don't let him suffer too much. He didn't suffer too much, and I'm grateful.)
