I definitely don't write for the sake of writing.

I write to entertain people. If nobody enjoys what I do, I won't feel the urge to do it anymore.

I don't think there's a creator who creates only for themselves. This is not the purpose of art.

And yes, generally, we want to live a satisfying life and we want our physical and mental needs met. Big words aside :)
