On the New Silence of Medium
Bear with me, as I see almost no activities
Yeah, I’m feeling it too, my friends.
I was wondering whether I should waste mental energy concocting this short note, but in the end, I decided to do it out of politeness. The thing is, until the current Medium glitch is fixed, I might be late in answering comments — or miss them entirely.
I simply don’t see them.
For example, to understand what was happening with my last story, I had to click on the story itself and check who visited. Numerous times. It was quite frustrating.
While I can do this for my latest work, if anyone responds to an older one or replies to a comment of mine, I won’t be able to engage due to the sheer unpredictability of which of my 200+ stories might have been visited, or which of my numerous late comments might have been answered.
I guess we’re all in the same boat, so please arm yourselves with patience.
I’ll check your pages regularly too, as my email inbox is also suspiciously empty.
What we can do meanwhile is use the silence to better listen to the writer in our minds. 😊
