Every fiction post needs a fresh idea, we can’t paraphrase and quote other experts. We have characters to flesh out, scenery to describe, new worlds to imagine or times to travel back/forward to. Our readers must fall in love with our romantic heroes, we devise plots for our villainous protagonists, build toxic back stories to incite their actions, we drop clues, set out red herrings and build suspense in our darker, more horrifying fiction. ‘Team Fiction’ can’t resort to boosting our content/turnover with chunks of writing created by throwing ideas into AI language programs, bots by their very nature lack imagination, and readers will likely detect it and reject it.
